Get to know how well women can code at a Code Like A Girl event! The goal of each event is to make sure that participants get to meet more women programmers and, moreover, have an idea of their coding, thinking, and working styles. This will be done through round-robin pair and team programming.

The idea is that people tend to invite people they know to speak at conferences, hire people they know (or at least recommend them) for jobs, etc. We want to make sure that women programmers are known and respected by as many other programmers as possible. Hence, our events are open to people of all genders, although there will be a focus on having most participants be women. We also open our events to everyone because we realize that there are other underrepresented groups and, while our focus is on promoting gender parity, we welcome any opportunities to level other inequities!
